Request for Graduation

Into a month of the ninth and final semester of a four year Communication Arts Degree spread out over an eight year time span, it was finally time to request for graduation on Bangkok University’s online registration system for pending and current alumni. The ten minute process required me to update my mailing address in Thai and English,  as well as bank account details. Finalising the Final Four Finances

Every freshmen, sophomore, junior, and especially senior looks forward to the the day when they can finally say, ‘I did it! I finally graduated!’

Before one gets to that that day, however, they must first arrive to the day when they register for their final semester of classes, and the resulting day at the bank when they pay their last undergraduate tuition bill once and for all–no student loan debt to look forward to as do counterparts elsewhere in the industrialized capitalizing academia world. Final Semester Finally: Four Year Degree in Eight

This last semester of Jao Moragoat, aka the Siamerican at BUIC sees four courses on his schedule. Namely, a second year class, ‘ICA 212: Critical Analysis of Messages,’ scheduled late afternoon, Wednesdays, a third year course, ‘ICA 313: Writing for Public Information,’ scheduled late Afternoon Tuesdays, and two fourth year courses: ‘ICA 414: Communication Conflict & Negotiation,’ scheduled midday Tuessdays and ‘ICA 417: Political Communication,’ scheduled Friday midday. Pictures from Ratchaprasong Rally April 8th

Sawasdee Jao Thai Uni Net! Just got back from the rally at Ratchaprasong intersection. I took a walk all around the protest site and was surprised at how few people there were, I estimate no more than 2-3000. Everything was pretty mellow, although the speakers on stage were giving their usual fiery diatribes.

Didn’t take a lot of photos as there was not much of interest happening. (more…)
